In case the title didn't give it away, you will be assessed (tested) over energy on Friday, September 21st. The topics to study and review are as follows: kinetic energy, potential energy, thermal energy, three ways heat transfers (conduction, convection, and radiation), and be able to give examples of each way heat transfers. Also, become familiar with the ten signs scientists reason that global warming is actual occurring! You WILL NOT be able to use your notes, any classwork/homework, or labs. The short answer questions will be the following and MUST INCLUDE a topic sentence, three details, a summary sentence, and be five to eight sentences in length.

1. How does thermal energy affect particles?

2. How can energy be transferred from one object or system to another?

Remember, the easiest way to succeed on an assessment is to keep an organized binder! Make sure all tests/quizzes (this includes labs) are correctly filed away, homework/classwork is in the right section, and all handouts are placed behind the "handouts" label. Study! Study! Study!
